#GoodNews: "Little Pink Houses" Give Vacations to Breast Cancer Fighters

Back in 2009 right after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Jeanine Patten-Coble decided she wanted to create a retreat for other breast cancer patients and their families.

A year later, after successfully completing her cancer treatments, the nonprofit Little Pink Houses of Hope was born to provide free vacations for breast cancer patients. Jeanine works with property management companies and private homeowners across the nation to donate their vacation homes and condos for free weeklong retreats, where breast cancer patients and their families can escape the daily burden of medical appointments and worries over healthcare bills.

Over the past 12 years, her organization has gifted retreats to almost 2,000 families.
