Are The Money Saving Tips Frugal...Or Cheap?

Almost everyone is looking for a way to save a buck or two. And there are some pretty good hacks out there, if you know where to look.

There's a Reddit group called Financial Independence where they discuss some things to save money. But a few of them might be considered cheap. How about splitting a meal at a restaurant? Some people order an appetizer if that's not enough. Is that socially acceptable?

Some other ideas include cutting sponges in half. Always buy tech that's 3 years old. And order groceries online but pick them up to save on delivery fees and still have have the advantage of not seeing things that might cause an impulse purchase inside the store.

So are these frugal or cheap? What other ideas do you have to save money?
