Greg, a New Jersey business owner, had to close his shop in March due to Coronavirus. As a second job, he’s had a paper route for 25 years. One morning, an 88 year-old woman on his route asked him to throw the newspaper closer to her door, so that she wouldn’t have to walk far to get it. A few days later, while in line at the grocery store, he thought of her, and called her later to see if she needed anything. She was grateful for the offer and asked Greg if he could pick up a few things for her, and some things for another elderly neighbor.
Greg decided to include a note with each of his newspapers, offering his services. The need turned out to be huge.
Each day, when he’s done with his paper route, Greg and his wife go shopping for their neighbors and make deliveries until around 7 p.m. They have made around 500 deliveries since March!
