79-year-old Dennis was driving 1,600 miles from Arizona to Wisconsin to see his son he hadn’t seen in 18 years. He got lost several times along the way, including once near Woodhull, Illinois, where he was lucky enough to meet locals Elton and Tracy. He told the couple that he didn’t know how to work his GPS and had added an extra 200 miles to his trip. They wanted to help and gave him their phone number in case he needed them. When he called not 15 minutes, they felt like the right thing to do was to have him follow them to Wisconsin, so the three of them made the 3-hour trip and got Dennis to his son.
But the story gets even better! After finding out that Dennis’ family was unable to escort him back to Arizona, Elton and Tracy decided to make the trip back with him to make sure he gets home safely.
