A Florida news reporter was diagnosed with cancer, but she has a viewer to thank for discovering it. The viewer sent an email to 28-year old reporter Victoria Price in Tampa, FL that said
“Hi, I just saw your news report. What concerned me is the lump on your neck. Please have your thyroid checked. Reminds me of my neck. Mine turned out to be cancer. Take care of yourself.”
Victoria took the advice and saw a doctor. She found out that the lump, though barely noticeable, was thyroid cancer. She underwent and she will undergo surgery on Monday to remove the tumor, thyroid, and a couple of nearby lymph nodes.
“Had I never received that email, I never would have called my doctor. The cancer would have continued to spread.”
