A Kentucky man who was diagnosed with cancer and only given a few weeks to live has gotten his final wish, thanks to a determined hospice nurse.
All Scott Sullivan wanted was to see his son, Cade, play football one last time. The first game of the season was an away game, 3 hours away. His hospice nurse knew it would be too much to drive. She reached out to a nearby airport and within days a local dentist offered to fly Scott to the game on his personal plane.
On September 11, Scott got to see his son play in the season opener. When Cade saw his father, he ran up the hill and hugged him. “Words could not describe how I felt at that time," he said. "I was just so happy to see my son."
