After tying the knot, one couple personally delivered dozens of floral arrangements from their wedding to bring joy to those in the community who needed a pick-me-up. Chance and Hannah Buckner got married a couple weeks ago and she didn’t like the idea of throwing away all the flowers from the event, so she turned to social media for help.
The bride posted that she wanted to bring the blooms to “anyone going through a tough time, an elderly or disabled person that is alone on their street” and asked people to send her their addresses. Hundreds of people responded with suggestions for recipients, from people battling COVID-19 to someone they felt was lonely. The newlyweds spent six hours delivering flowers to around 20 locations in the San Angelo, Texas, area.
“I know I always enjoy getting flowers, so we just wanted to spread that same joy to others in need,” the bride says. “We had a few people cry, got some hugs and many thank you’s. We had one lady hug us and cry and that one person made it all worth it.”
